2021.12.01 16:08 eMperror_ Passed SAA-C02 2 days ago after ~6 months of study

I am so glad to have finally passed the exam and received my cert badge. This is my first certification ever in my career so it's a pretty big step for me.
Background: - SE / Dev for 7 years, senior level - Worked with AWS for 1.5 year only
I started with Stephane's course but quickly switched to Adrian's course since I found he was a much better teacher for my style of learning. I really greatly enjoyed Adrian's course and I do recommend it to all my colleagues.
After completing all Adrian's videos, I followed the recommendations here and did all the TutorialsDojo practice exams. Scored 93% in the TD Final exam in only 1hour so I finally felt ready to take the exam.
Did the proctored version with Pearson VUE. This was my first experience with an online exam. It went really well.
The exam itself was pretty hard. I think I lost most of my points because I forgot the differences between Inspector and GuardDuty and there were a few questions around that.
Started right afterwards studying for the Dev cert, so back to acantril classes! Small note to Adrian: It would be really nice to be able to keep the [ASSOCIATESHARED] videos in sync between the 2 classes. Meaning that if I completed it in the Arch class, it would already be "done" in the dev class. But it's only a small detail, I completed them by hand but mistakenly pressed DONE to some classes that should not have been, and there is no apparent way to un-done them.
Thanks everyone here for the inspiration and the exam tips!

2021.12.01 16:08 Keons708 My grandpa died

He was in the hospital because of covid and he was doing great, today my mom texted me that he died.
We grew up the the same house and everyone loved him very very much. He was the haopiest person I knew and we celebrated every singe holiday with them and the rest of the family.
My grandma doesn't know yet, she's also in a hospital and has only now started to get better so no one told her.
Im going to miss him very much. I haven't visited in the longest time because i was really busy with work and school. I wish i could turn back time to give him a hug. He had a huge family that loved him and he died alone. 😞

2021.12.01 16:08 Its_Rare Does Amber live in a disability apartment?

So I noticed in her videos that her door peep hole is low that it looks it would be used for someone in a wheelchair. Also if it’s a disability apartment why is she taking it away from an actual disabled person

I'm a Canadian thinking about switching out of my current program in PT to go to dentistry in Australia. I'm wondering if there are any Aus dental students here that can give me some insight into their experience studying there and whether or not it is a viable option considering my goal to becoming a dentist in Canada.

2021.12.01 16:08 jimmysjams Lego Star Wars 20th Anniversary Bundle

The raffle was originally at (1) [MAIN] Star Wars 20th Anniversary Bundle 244 SPOTS @ $3 : lego_raffles (reddit.com) raffled by u/heavyboots79 and escrowed for u/Detroit-Funk.
Holy shit! I mean, holy shit! I thought it was a stroke of genius on Lego's part to rerelease the old Star Wars sets but as more of a remaster than a rerelease. Modern takes on old classics. I have a handful of the originals from 20 years ago. Being a lifelong Star Wars and Lego fan, I couldn't resist picking up the few sets my broke college aged ass could afford at the time.
Now this box arrives and I'm almost emotional. I saw Slave I, or whatever it's called now, in store and thought, I'll get it next time. Next time didn't come, until today. On top of that there are the other goodies and classics from Episode I. Follow the link above if you want to see everything in this haul.
This is like a holy grail. I don't know if I have the heart to actually open them. I'd probably end up like Walter Donovan at the end of The Last Crusade. All shrivel and old. What am I saying? Of course, I'll open a few of them but most likely it'll be when I'm a dusty old man from nature.
Packaging is great. Each box and bag are individually wrapped in bubble wrap. Shipping was prompt. There was a note about a shipping delay because of the holiday but it didn't impact delivery at all. Thank you u/Detroit-Funk! u/heavyboots79, I'm a happy customer, get this man paid!

2021.12.01 16:08 toufodido Upgraded from ROG Strix Wireless to ROG Strix Go 2.4

Hello there, I might have not been the only one doing this upgrade and would like to hear your feedback on this upgrade.
Already installed Armoury Crate and configured everything for better sound quality and its a way better than before when it was from stock, but still I find it with low bass when comparing to the strix wireless I had before (https://rog.asus.com/headsets-audio/headsets/wireless-headsets/rog-strix-wireless-model/)
Also I have a question, when I am playing and using some voice chat like discord, it's so odd for me, because this isolates all sound, my ears get inside the headset cochons and I can't even hear my own voice when I speak and it kinds messes me up. With the other ones I could easily hear my voice when speaking. It seems like I am underwater or something lol, ears blocked you know?
Do you think it's just the starting day and I will get used to it?
Thank you a lot for your feedback in advance!

2021.12.01 16:08 ModeratorForLeaks I 20M was diagnosed with spontaneous pneumothorax at A&E

So on the 20.11 - I [20M] woke up suddenly and my entire chest area was killing me, so stayed at home that day with shortness of breath and chest pain. 21 / 22.11 was the same than on the 23.11 it finally felt better, there was no more chest pain. On 24.11, I went and had a chest x-ray and waited for the results but was feeling better overall, still a bit of shortness of breath. 25 / 26 / 27 / 28 / 29 / 30.11 each day was better than the previous one but still had shortness of breath.
And today happened. I got a call early morning from my GP who told me to go to A&E to check my chest because I had 2.5mm 'air' trapped inside of it. So I did, I arrived and was given a room, had a blood test and another chest x-ray.
Turns out I indeed have 1.9mm of air trapped inside and was diagnosed with spontaneous pneumothorax. The thing is I'm scared. I don't know if I'm scared of having air stuck in my chest or what will happen if it doesn't go away. Can someone share their experience with pneumothorax and what you did to resolve it.
My doctor discharged me because he said if there was 2.0mm of air they would have done Needle aspiration which sounds so fucking scary, my heart was racing but later found out it was a 5-minute process but I'm still kinda shaking. Also the fact I had no chest pain and my oxygen levels were good he was comfortable with me leaving.
Do you think it will heal gradually by itself, I have another scan on the 7th December. Is there anything I could do that makes it heal quick, he did say no diving or flying which I wouldn't have done normally. Have anxiety as well which doesn't help.
Thanks for reading stranger.
